Masterclass Select Series: Breaking Down Nerves

The Wellington Hospital has a variety of specialist units throughout the hospital. Some of these units will be providing a one-off seminar for medical professionals at various event locations including, London Zoo, Lord's Cricket Ground and BMA House.

The first of these one-off event is being presented at BMA House by the Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit. 

The Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit at The Wellington Hospital is recognised as a leading UK tertiary centre for the treatment of complex peripheral nerve injuries.

The Unit's comprehensive range of services include nerve surgery for traumatic lesions including highly complex brachial and lumbo-sacral plexus repair and nerve transplantations in both infants and adults to restore both sensory and motor functions.

Some patients are seen and treated as emergencies as a result of acute trauma, and others are referred because of chronic problems associated with earlier injury.
