Our Diagnostics and Imaging Department is one of the most up to date in the country and the largest of its kind in the UK private sector. We have a full range of state of the art equipment including a 64-slice CT scanner, two MRI scanners, a full range of X-Ray machines using a Computed Radiography (CR) system, Ultrasound equipment and Interventional Radiology facilities. All services are backed up using a Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) which allows Consultants to view images anywhere in the hospital on a computer terminal.
We are constantly working to improve and expand our services and by utilising investment in the most current equipment and technologies we can deliver outstanding Imaging services which speed up the time from diagnosis to treatment.
We have a team of 20 consultant radiologists, many of whom hold senior positions in some of London's renowned teaching hospitals, who are on hand to interpret and report on the results of a patient's scan, X-Ray or Ultrasound. They are backed by highly qualified specialist radiographers and nurses and a back office team who prepare reports of each diagnostic investigation.
The department is available 24 hours for clinical emergencies and there is fast access for our In-Patient Service which is available between 8 am and 6 pm Mondays to Fridays.
We also have close links to our satellite unit – The Wellington Diagnostics & Outpatient Centre – on Golders Green Road. This small department boasts another 64-slice CT scanner and an ‘open’ MRI scanner plus Ultrasound and x-ray services. Our team of consultant radiologists and experienced radiographers provide excellent support to this unit which is also linked to the main hospital via the PACS system.
